About Sym

Sym is Symend's AI-powered assistant — built to help you explore our platform, products, and approach to behavioral science-driven collections, on your schedule.

This page explains what Sym is, what it can help with, where it can fall short, and how to get verified answers from our team.

What Sym can help with

Sym is trained on Symend's public product documentation, case studies, FAQs, and behavioral science research. It's designed to help you:

  • Understand how the Symend platform works and what makes it different.
  • Learn about our three products: SymendCure, SymendConverse, and SymendPrevent.
  • Explore how behavioral science and Delinquency Archetypes drive better collections outcomes.
  • Walk through what to expect during implementation.
  • Find relevant case studies from telecom, financial services, utilities, auto finance, and credit unions.
  • Determine whether Symend is a fit for your organization.
  • Get pointed to the right Symend resource — a brochure, a calculator, a demo conversation.

If you're early in your evaluation of Symend, Sym is a good first stop.

What Sym can't do

To set expectations clearly, here's where Sym isn't the right tool:

  • Custom pricing or contract terms. Sym can describe Symend's consumption-based pricing model but can't quote specific figures or negotiate terms. Pricing conversations happen with our sales team.
  • Account or customer data access. Sym has no connection to client environments, your collections data, or any personally identifiable information.
  • Commitments on Symend's behalf. Sym can't make promises about timelines, deliverables, contractual obligations, or specific outcomes for your business.
  • Legal, financial, or regulatory advice. Compliance topics often have jurisdiction-specific nuances. Sym can describe Symend's compliance posture (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, FCA, CFPB) but shouldn't be relied on for legal interpretation.
  • A replacement for a real conversation. Enterprise evaluations involve nuances that no chat assistant can fully capture. Sym is a starting point, not a substitute for time with our solutions team.

Accuracy and limitations

Sym is powered by large language model technology. Like all AI assistants, it can occasionally:

  • Generate plausible-sounding but inaccurate information.
  • Miss recent product updates or company news.
  • Misinterpret a question and answer something adjacent.
  • Provide general examples when you needed specifics.

We've built guardrails to minimize this — Sym is grounded in Symend's documented materials, and we monitor feedback continuously to improve accuracy over time. But for any high-stakes decision, please verify with our team before acting on what Sym tells you.

If a response looks wrong, use the thumbs-down icon to flag it. Every piece of feedback is reviewed.

Getting verified information

When you need confirmed, current, and tailored answers:

Your privacy when using Sym

When you chat with Sym, we collect:

  • Your messages and Sym's responses.
  • A session identifier (not tied to your name or email unless you provide it).
  • Basic technical metadata (browser, time of conversation).
  • Feedback you submit via thumbs-up or thumbs-down.

We use this information to improve Sym's accuracy and the overall experience. We don't sell this data, and we don't share individual conversations externally. Conversations are retained for up to 90 days for quality and improvement purposes, then deleted or anonymized.

For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Feedback

Sym gets better when you tell us when it gets things wrong — or right. Use the thumbs icons on any Sym response to flag issues or confirm helpful answers. Optional comments are reviewed by the Symend team and inform ongoing improvements to the assistant.
